The extension addresses a common modern problem: the web contains enormous amounts of valuable information, but extracting specific insights from dense articles, documentation pages, reports, and research papers is time-consuming when content must be read linearly.

Talk2Page enables users to ask targeted questions about any page they're viewing and receive precise, contextually accurate answers drawn directly from that content.

The extension works by analyzing the text content of the current webpage when activated, then making that content available to an AI language model that can answer questions, summarize sections, explain concepts, extract specific data points, and draw connections between ideas mentioned across the page.

Rather than searching through a long article manually for a specific piece of information, users can simply ask 'What does this article say about X?' and receive an immediate answer with the relevant context.

Talk2Page integrates with OpenAI's language models to power its question-answering capability.

Users provide their own OpenAI API key, which is stored locally in the browser extension without being transmitted to any third-party serversa design choice that prioritizes user privacy and gives users direct control over their AI usage costs and model selection.

This bring-your-own-key model means that Talk2Page itself has no access to either the user's conversations or their API credentials.
